There is everything you know, and everything that happens. When the two do not line up, you make a choice.

One of the offices I am working in at the moment has just moved to a new location, and it has definitely been of benefit. We designed it ourselves, so there is no other person to blame for the defects. We all got welcome packs, with a whole bunch of useless shit we may never use. There was one thing though, which I actually do use.

It's called a Keep Cup.

They are a part of the green office initiative, and they are so good. The idea is that you bring this cup around with you, made of a strange material called polypropylene, and give it to the barista at a coffee shop every time you go. It is made in standard sizes that are used in Australia, so their money making is not scutinised, and it saves the need to squander coffee cups all round.

I got mine for free, but they usually cost 12 dollars.

These Danish badasses keep it real.

This is a dress made by Nicole Michniewski for Fashionclash Maastricht. She is amazing.

Chenchow Little are definitely a part of Australia's cream. They have just released a set of photos for this badass pitched roof house that finished a short while back.

In general, I feel as though Australia's strength (in architecture) lies at a domestic scale - tucked away in the discreet suburban context like a chameleon. It is definitely something that needs to be searched for, because it will not spill any beer on you.

You all know how much I love pitched roofs.

Apricot, A short film by Ben Briand is worth the ten minutes that it is. I am not the biggest fan of film, or anything that isn't animal and moves, but this brightened my day.

Paul Barbera is a strange guy who takes beautiful photographs of creative workspaces. Look at his work, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Plaza Espana, Santa Cruz de Tenerife by Herzog and De Meuron. One of their later (and lesser known) works, the project creates a public square at the threshold between ocean and land. The idea is that the decomposing coastline is to be gradually filled in to create an artificial topography.

The four awkward pavilions around the circular foot pool house retail and information outlets, with one providing access to the underground car park.

I think the idea of opening a horizontal plane for the pure movement of people is clever. It could have done without the car park though, bicycles and power walking may be a solution to the world's growing obesity crisis?

Seriously, why are fat politicians complaining of them dying rain forests whilst they drive around in their heavy fuel consuming monsters .

If Mosley Tribes got into a fight with Ray ban, Mosley Tribes would win. I've had a pair of their Lyndels since summer and they are the greatest thing. Very much worth it.

Much of the stupid things I do are influenced by music.

I saw The Jezabels play for the first time around a month ago. They are amazing, and it feels almost as though I have been listening to them forever because their two EP releases have been on repeat ever since.

I have known Angus and Julia Stone's music for a little longer. If you haven't heard their sounds, I would have thought you'd give up on life a long time ago.

New book in the mail. Houses; SANAA.

I have always really admired this pair and they design some of the most beautiful spaces I have seen. They test assumptions without making judgements, and from what I can see, their (almost) endless spree of models & plan drawing accompaniments really accentuates a willingness to scrutinise preconceived ideas before it becomes realised as architecture.

These are some of the photomontages I presented as a part of my project (for a small apartment block/restaurant in North Bondi). My tutor said I could have done with another pot plant or so, but I thought the people were pretty bad ass.

It's all soup and salad my friends.

I usually have two pads of post stick notes lying around my table (for some odd reason). One of them gets the day to day use it deserves. The other lies around until it is hidden under a pile of the useless shit I leave around. This image is of the latter, with some very Sejima influenced blobs drawn on them, some time ago.

After a good 6 month journey, sketchbook number two has run out of pages. Here are some of the ideas that it holds, before I put it on my bookshelf and never look at it again.
